Jean Nordquist's Reproduction Bliss Keyhole 19"H Doll House KIT with interior
Click images to enlarge Description I am pleased to announce our 4th dollhouse wooden kit. It is a reproduction Bliss "keyhole" style. The finished dimensions are 19" high by 10" wide by 9-3/4" deep including the chimney (2-3/4"H) and the base (1-1/2"H). The original was very close to this size. This house is the first for which we are providing interior wallpaper taken from an 1894 McLoughlin Folding Doll House. I have altered it to fit the interior of our keyhole house which originally had very plain, too large scale wallpaper added by the owner. The scale of this house is 1/2" scale. Note that there are two floors. I've taken the liberty to make them a kitchen (first floor) and the upper either a bedroom or a parlor at your descretion. This kit, although mostly assembled, is more complex than our first three due to the keyhole construction and all the extra parts and angles plus the interior wallpapers.
Please note that this house kit makes a reproduction of an antique toy and as such is designed to look old. All parts are hand made by Ken and myself and are not mass produced in China like many dollhouse kits on the market today. If you follow our instructions, you will end up with an old looking dollhouse. You should sign your finished work on the bottom so that in the future the uninitiated won't think it an actual antique. The following is included in this kit: 13 pieces including the main house with front porch attached which you remove to color and paper. Laser printed color graphics to cover both the ext erior and the interior walls, porch, base, keyhole deck and dormers . Complete instructions and color photos of assembly process like those shown here. What you need to provide to complete this project: White craft glue like Elmer's or Designer Tacky "Yes" paper glue Scissors Five colors of acrylic paint including a red, green, brown, gold, and gray. Shoe polish to seal and antique after all parts are glued Paper cutter and/or metal ruler and cutting knife Phillips head small screwdriver Paint brushes to apply both paint and glue plus palette/tile for paint A brush and soft rags to apply shoe polish and buff it Latex gloves optional to protect your hands from wax and paint while working Craft sheet to protect your work surface also optio nal Other things you should know: I guarantee all items I sell and I accept returns however not on paper projects or kits like this that can be copied, so this item, once purchased is non returnable. All my workbooks and projects are printed on a state of the art digital color laser printer on either 110 lb. card stock or parchment paper. This particular kit utilizes 110# cardstock for all graphics . Shipping is FREE on my store kit projects in the USA and I ship by USPS Priority Mail.
