The most amazing complicated denim i have ever seen, i sadly purchased the wrong size now sold out of anything close to my size and gonna regrettably sell these i will say for a 33 they fit more like a 32 tried on a couple times hoping I would shrink, never worn outside never washed etc. I noticed a few spots where the indigo is starting to pop apparently from trying them on and wearing for a bit these are going to fade beautifully Measurements pictured.. Description from denimo website: This collab with Japan Blue has been in the works for over 18 months, good things take time, as they say and you will soon see why. When we sat down with the fabric wizards of Japan Blue, we wanted to do something unique and create incredible value at a decent price point to allow everyone to enjoy it. We went through tons of different fabrics and decided that their 16.5oz slubby denim was ideal as a base: combining Côte d'Ivoire and American cotton really gives this denim a special feeling. But we decided to take it further and asked them to do this denim in kakishibu exclusively for us. Kakishibu dye is expensive and most places don't do kakishibu rope dyes because they usually have to empty and clean all their tanks to make sure that the kakishibu does not compromise future indigo batches. So we would have to wait until they had a little bit of time to get this done and it goes without saying that COVID didn't help. We decided that it's worth the wait. We know that plenty of you can't wait to get their hands on an affordable pair of kakishibu dyed denim that does not break the bank. So while we waited, we began working on the details. We got in touch with denimboi who already provided the artwork for a prior collab. We love his work and the fact that he is into denim, so this was a natural fit. His designs are fantastic: not only do they look fantastic on the flasher, he also turned it into an amazing design for the leather patch. Speaking of leather: we wanted a rich and supple veg tan leather for this and, lo and behold, the legendary Shinki tannery in Japan came through for us. We loved this leather so much that we decided to crank up the volume to 11 and add a leather coin pocket. We decided this premium leather, which will age beautifully, is the perfect material to attach our collab tab to. Just wait until it darkens with patina while you denim lightens up! But that's not all, on the inside you'll find custom made pocket lining with a traditional Japanese pattern and in kakishibu too. We think this one has it all. The denim itself has exceeded even our wildest expectations. This is, with no exaggeration, an absolute banger where the dark kakishibu weft peaks through the dark indigo warp. 16.5oz of pure indigo x kakishibu goodness. We are delighted to offer you this amazing fabric in two of Japan Blues most popular cuts: Their high tapered and their regular straight. But most of all, we are immensely proud to be able to offer this made in Japan masterpiece at such a great price. Numbers are very limited so first come first serve.
