As to why I list the items as new with defects is for the fact they come without a box as well as there can be slight defects via small blemishes like scuffs on the bottom or sides of the shoe. I would feel like it's dishonest to the customer to list them as new even though they some might still have the original tags on them.
I try to take the best pictures I can to help the customer see if there are any defects or issues with the shoes. Also, defects are subjective depending on the person. I see nothing reasonable wrong with these shoes, and I sell them at a fairly discounted price. I just always try to do it right for the customer
