Vintage JEAN POUYAT Limoges Luncheon Plate. POY394.
White Porcelain plate 9 5/8” in diameter. Features Gold edges. The Rim is adorned with a Gold band around the rim, with a circlet of Laurel Leaves within the band. Still on the rim, below the Gold Band is a smaller circle of Gold Trim with Golden Swags of Laurel circling the plate. Interspersed below that are flower-like decorations-they descend from each intersection of Laurel Swags and are also mid-swag below it.
A beautiful piece from a classic in Limoges porcelain makers: Jean Pouyat. Mr. Pouyat was with Limoges from 1895-1900.
I have 6 dinner plates available. All are in EUC to MINT condition. No scratches from use, no chips, cracks or signs of repairs. The differentiation I use is that MINT has no loss of Gold on plate edge. EUC has a bit, but only a tiny bit.
